5 Best Things to Enhance Your Memory (Why Ashwagandha Is a Must-Try)

Memory is such a tricky thing. 

Some days, I feel sharp as a tack, remembering little details like where I put my car keys. Other days? Forget it—I can’t even remember why I walked into the kitchen!

If you’re anything like me and want to give your memory a little boost, I’ve got you covered.

Over the years, I’ve tried tons of strategies to enhance my memory, and while some were total duds, others worked like magic.

Spoiler alert: ashwagandha is my #1 recommendation. Let’s dive in.  

1. Ashwagandha: The Brain’s Best Friend

I have to admit, I didn’t start taking ashwagandha for memory. At first, I tried it for stress and better sleep, but the mental clarity it gave me was a happy surprise.

I started incorporating more walnuts, blueberries, and fatty fish like salmon into my meals, and I swear my focus improved.

Omega-3s, antioxidants, and vitamins like B12 are essential for memory.

Oh, and don’t forget to stay hydrated—dehydration can totally mess with your concentration.  

#5. Exercise Regularly

Okay, confession time: I used to hate exercising. But once I learned how much it boosts brain function, I gave it another shot.

Even a 20-minute walk gets your blood flowing, delivering oxygen and nutrients to your brain.

Plus, exercise releases endorphins, which reduce stress (and you already know stress is a memory killer).
